How Much Does A Trike Motorcycle Cost? (REAL Prices with Pictures)

Since you’re on this page, chances are you already know what a trike or a three wheel motorcycle is! But believe me, not many know, so let me lay it out.

A trike motorcycle or motor trike is essentially a motorcycle with 3 wheels. A single wheel in front and two in the rear. They can have a gas motor or an electric motor, just like motorcycles.

However, there are also reverse trikes. A reverse trike is a 3 wheel motorcycle with two wheels in front and 1 in the rear; hence the term reverse trike.

Some famous trike motorcycles are AM Spyder F3-T, Yamaha Tricity, HD Freelander, and the Polaris Slingshot.

The retail price for trike motorcycles (base models) starts at $8,999 and can go upwards of $60,500 in the United States, including reverse trikes.

To know the final actual sales price, also referred to as the Out-the-door price, please check with your nearest dealer. The final out-the-door prices at dealers might be more than the advertised retail prices.

That’s because there might be registration fees for title and tag (usually is).

There might also be a dealer vehicle freight fee, a preparation fee for the final setup of your bike, including that documentation and sales tax.

Important note: I have said this before, but this bears repeating. The final price of a motorcycle is not just the out-the-door price of the motorcycle.

You have to factor in a number of other things.

These can be the price of riding gear, monthly gas cost or electricity costs, service costs, and also the price of spare parts. It’s best to consider all of these when you buy. You need to be able to afford all of this and not just the out-the-door/on-road price.

Conclusion

As a hardcore motorcyclist, it’s hard to grasp three-wheel motorcycles. I know this first hand.

Honestly, I was disgusted at the idea of a third wheel.

But I tell you what, you must try a trike!
